| The Ardlui Hotel is located in the heart of Scotland's
first National Park - Loch Lomond & the Trossachs National
Park - Pairc Naiseanta Loch Laomainn is nan Troisichean in
Gaelic.
Only 50 miles north of Glasgow, yet feels like you have entered
a different world completely. The natural surrounds are un-deniably
spectacular.
The hotel was built as a private hunting lodge for the Colquhoun
family around 1851. It was first opened as a hotel in 1886.
Two years later the east wing was added, while the west wing
was added by 1905. The hotel today is painted white due to
the three different types of stone used to build the main
building & each of the two wings.
Tennants since 1959, the Squires family have now owned the
hotel since 1978, becoming the family to own & run the
hotel for the longest period of time. See the About
